Professional background
I have worked in financial management for more than 20 years, with a successful career spanning a variety of roles including financial consultant, sales coach and trainer, specialist planner, sales manager and director of business development.
In 2002, I completed an MBA degree through the Open University and in 2006 became one of the Chartered Insurance Institute's first Chartered Financial Planners.
My Business
I specialise in helping people who have accumulated significant capital perhaps through a lifetime of diligent saving, the sale of a business, or a 'windfall' gain such as an inheritance, a lottery win, or a compensation payment.
In my experience, few people are happy with the construction of their investment portfolio. They worry whether the capital will generate sufficient income to provide for their needs and they are often uncertain about their existing investments and adviser relationships.
I aim to provide peace of mind by planning an investment strategy which helps you feel more comfortable about your future. I will take account of your individual needs, making sure that I really understand your current circumstances and future aspirations.
I will then suggest the type of investments that are right for you, those that you would make yourself if you had the time, the necessary resources and the experience. I will also take the time to help you understand more about your investments. And I will only charge for my services when you feel that I have added value.
